Who we are: EKOYou Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”)

Welcome to Ekoyou, accessible from www.ekoyou.com. Our main priority is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is collected and recorded by Ekoyou and how we use it.

1) What this policy covers

This page explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, where it may be processed, how long we keep it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

2) The information we collect

• Information you provide – e.g., your name, email address, phone number, messages, bookings, survey/quiz responses, and payment/contact details when relevant.

• Device and usage information – e.g., IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, referral source and similar event data collected via cookies and tags.

• Unique identifiers – pseudonymous IDs generated by our analytics tools to understand website use.

We do not knowingly collect information from children or run services directed to children.

3) How we collect it (cookies, tags and forms)

We use forms, cookies and similar technologies to run the site and understand how it’s used. We deploy tags via Google Tag Manager (GTM). Our analytics provider is Google Analytics 4 (GA4). From time to time we may also use other tools (for example, advertising pixels or experience/heat-map tools). Non-essential tools will only be used where lawful and appropriate for their purpose.

You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

4) Why we collect it (purposes)

We collect and use personal information to:

• operate, secure and improve our website and services

• understand website performance and content effectiveness (analytics and conversion measurement)

• respond to enquiries and provide customer support

• communicate with you about our services, content and offers (where permitted)

• prevent misuse or fraud and comply with our legal obligations.

We will not use personal information in ways that are materially different from these purposes without telling you.

5) Who we share it with (disclosure)

We share information with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, including website hosting, email, analytics (Google), customer relationship and marketing tools. Some providers may be located outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to ensure such providers protect the information to standards that are, overall, comparable to New Zealand’s privacy laws (for example, by using contractual safeguards).

We do not sell personal information.

6) How long we keep it (retention) & security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above (for example, GA4 data is retained according to our analytics retention settings) and then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information from loss, unauthorised access or disclosure.

7) Your rights

You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal information. You can also object to certain uses (such as marketing), or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
